We are committed to distinctive quality and unparalleled customer service in all aspects of our business. We are guided by the highest moral and ethical standards. Furthermore, we are committed to a pleasant, healthy workplace that fosters continued professional and personal growth for employees.

The Binyon name has been synonymous with quality vision care since it was founded in Seattle in 1911 by Dr. James R. Binyon. Dr. Binyon and company were known for their high ethics, technical advances and skilled, professional care and thus Dr. Binyon was able to open multiple offices throughout the state. Dr. Binyon served two terms in the Washington State Senate. He was highly instrumental in raising the standards of the profession of optometry, and in advancing the profession in this state.

In 1962 there were twelve Binyon Optometrists offices in the state of Washington, and by that time, each of them was individually owned and operated by an independent Doctor of Optometry. Today there are five offices remaining; Bellevue, Bellingham, Burien, Seattle, and Tacoma. The Bellevue office opened in the early 1960’s on a busy corner across from Bellevue Square Mall, and was in that location for over thirty years. In 1991, Dr. Richard Kenny purchased the practice from Dr. Stanley Berman, and moved it to its present location in 1996.
